Key Product Benefits

• Heat activated fail-safe mechanism provides additional protection
• Available with test points to access the outside plant
• Prevents costly damage to circuitry and extends equipment life
• Protects personnel from dangerous voltage surges

Tii 5-pin Gas Tube with PTC modules are dependable plug-in devices that guard sensitive telecommunications systems from dangerous voltage surges. The three-element GDT with 4 Ohm (nominal resistance) PTCs provide both overvoltage and overcurrent protection. This prevents destructive line-to-line overvoltages and sneak currents from reaching valuable telecom equipment. The combination of GDT and PTCs provide excellent electrical protection while minimally affecting high frequency DSL and ISDN signals.

Key Product Benefits

• Designed for line protection for sensitive voice and data equipment
• Balanced three-electrode design

Tii gas tube modules are dependable plug-in devices that guard sensitive telecommunications systems from dangerous voltage surges. The gas tube utilizes a three-element design. This prevents destructive line-to-line over voltages, protecting PBXs and key systems in a way that conventional two-element gas tubes cannot. The modules include heat activated fail-safe mechanism that provides additional protection against power crosses. Test points allow easy test access to the outside plant.

Key Product Benefits

• Designed to support +/-190VDC line powered applications
• 5-pin configuration
• Protects sensitive voice and data equipment
• Protection for high-speed digital systems operating up to 100MHz

These low capacitance gas tube protector modules provide premium protection for sensitive data communication equipment to frequencies up to 100MHz. The modules include heat activated fail-safe mechanism that provides additional protection against power crosses

Key Product Benefits

• Ideal for use in control circuits or other specialized communications services using open wire, above ground cable, or buried cable
• Also recommended for use on AC circuits in conjunction with line fuses, circuit breakers or current limiting resistors
• Provides superior protection due to the rapid recovery of the three-electrode gas tube, which returns the protected line to service as the transient subsides
• Grounding termination point provides a low resistance path to earth ,ground in order to optimize protection

The 317 is an encapsulated module containing Tii’s Maximum Duty three-electrode gas tube surge arrester, engineered to protect equipment from lightning and induced surges.

Key Product Benefits

• Heavy duty two-electrode gas tubes
• The module may be employed in a variety of single and multiple pair protector assemblies and network interface devices
• Fully encapsulated assembly
• Reduced maintenance cost

Tii’s Totel Failsafe Station Protector Modules are the basic components of Tii Station Protectors. Because the wiring terminals are an integral part of the protector module, the entire self-contained unit must be removed and replaced when it reaches its “end of life” condition. This ensures that the subscriber is always protected when connected to the service wire.

Key Product Benefits

• Ideally suited for IP-based Internet Protocol access
• Long life two-electrode gas tube protection
• Fail short design with back-up air gap
• Direct field replacement for carbon protectors
• Fits standard 7/16” -20 thread wells

The 366 Protector Unit represents a significant technological advancement as a direct field replacement for carbon and other gas tube protectors. This unit not only replaces carbon and conventional tubes that fit 7/16”-20 thread wells, but it has the advantage of Tii’s Heavy Duty two-electrode gas tube and back-up air gap.

Key Product Benefits

• Offers extended service life and consistent efficiency with minimal maintenance
• Tii gas tubes are constructed of selected metal alloy and ceramic materials to insure many years of dependable service
• The two-electrode gas tube provides low maintenance cost without the problems associated with carbon air gap protectors
• The sealed atmosphere in the gas tube assures fast and consistent responses with a stable breakdown voltage

365 Protector Units are designed as direct field replacements for carbon or other gas tube protector assemblies in blocks with 1/2” -20 threaded wells.

Key Product Benefits

• The 122 consists of a three-electrode gas tube, a fail short mechanism in the event of a power cross condition, and an epoxy filled shell with two #10 wiring studs and a ground strap
• The encapsulation of the internal components of the module safeguards against contamination and corrosion of the protection elements. This feature is not found in screw-in type station protectors
• The module may be employed in a variety of single and multiple pair protector assemblies and network interface devices
• Capable of terminating one service drop wire pair plus four customer inside wire pairs

Because the wiring terminals are an integral part of the protector module, the entire self-contained unit must be removed and replaced when it reaches its “end of life” condition. This ensures that the subscriber is always protected when connected to the service wire.

Key Product Benefits

• 355M module is entirely self-contained and consists of a Maximum Duty three-electrode gas tube surge arrester, a fail short mechanism, and a backup air gap
• Entire assembly is completely encapsulated to prevent moisture entry and environmental contamination
• Surge protection is provided in three ways:
  1. The gas tube operates on over-voltage surges and shunts the transient to ground
  2. The fail short device operates under power cross conditions to permanently ground the line
  3. The backup air gap provides surge protection in the unlikely event should the gas tube arrester vent

Tii’s Totel Failsafe Station Protector Modules are the basic components of Tii Station Protectors, and the 355M Maximum Duty Protector provides years of reliable protection against power surges and the damage they can cause.
