Fiber Interface Devices / Slack Storage Terminals

Fiber Interface Device / Slack Storage Units are compact enclosures that provide connectivity between the OSP fiber drop and the customer fiber drop, plus slack storage at the demarcation point. Enclosures are available in a range of sizes accommodating up to 12 fiber terminations, for indoor and outdoor installation. Custom logo printing is available on all enclosures.

505F Series Fiber Interface Device / Slack Storage Unit (NEMA-4)

The 505F is Tii’s most versatile compact enclosure, merging the patch and patch-and-splice functionality of the FET2 and 506F Series into a smaller, NEMA-4 rated unit that serves both single-family and small MDU deployments. See 506F vs 505F: which enclosure do I need? for selection guidance.

506F Series Fiber Interface Device / Slack Storage Unit

The 506F provides demarcation between the OSP fiber drop and customer fiber drop with generous slack storage, in a compact indoor/outdoor housing configurable from 1 to 24 ports.

The 508F is designed for rigid drop fiber installations with up to a 3-inch bend radius, in a NEMA-4 rated housing for harsh outdoor environments.

509R Series Reeled Fiber Interface Enclosure

The 509R combines a fiber reel preloaded with up to 125 ft of connectorized distribution fiber with slack storage for up to 75 ft of OSP flat drop cable, in a NEMA-4 rated enclosure — dispensing pre-connectorized fiber to greatly reduce installation time.
